We've got photos from an egg hunt the kids attended here in New Bern and photos of the Spring Break Road Trip I took the kids on to visit family near Kansas City. Two days driving there with a stopover in Cookesville, TN, four days having a blast with Connie, Scott & Grace, then two days back home, stopping in Lexington, KY. We did Easter in MO and had fun at the KC Zoo with Aunt Marge and Don joining us. Poor Amelia got her left thumb slammed in the car door in southwest Virginia fairly early in the day and was a trooper for the rest of the ride home. As always, I am buoyed by a successful trip (now that a week has passed and I forget exactly how many times I screamed in the car.) :):):)

Happy Valentine's Day!

This (insert length of time/family event/household crisis) has been so crazy/time-consuming I didn't get it together enough to do Valentine cards for our family this year. I am truly sorry because we have a lot of fun putting them together and creating memories. We are on a fabulous week-long mountain vacation and having some really great times together. Our latest hurr-evac turned hurry-vac adventure! Ended up in Cherokiee, NC, at Santa's Land. It's a 60's era theme park. It's just plain weird.
